Privacy Policy
Focus Keeper is a Chrome extension that helps you block distracting websites. This policy describes how we handle your data — or more precisely, how we don't.
What we collect
Nothing. Focus Keeper has no backend server, no analytics integration, and no remote database. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information.
What's stored on your device
Your settings — blocklist, schedule, lockdown preferences, and custom messages —
are stored using Chrome's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local).
This data lives only on your device and is never sent anywhere.
If you uninstall the extension, all data is deleted automatically by Chrome.
Permissions we request
Focus Keeper requests the following Chrome permissions:
- storage — to save your blocklist and settings locally
- tabs — to read the current tab's URL and redirect blocked sites
- webNavigation — to intercept navigation before a page loads
- declarativeNetRequest — to block network requests to blocked sites
None of these permissions are used to collect information about you.
Third-party services
None. We use no analytics tools, crash reporters, ad networks, or tracking pixels. The extension makes no outbound network requests.
Children's privacy
Focus Keeper does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Since we collect no data, there isn't much to change.
